Compiling JMS Java code on Sun machine using Fiorano as JMS broker

Assuming you are running JDK 1.5, and have the following libraries in your local directory:

  • fiorano-framework.jar
  • fmq-client.jar
  • jms.jar
  • jmxri.jar

Compiling:

> javac -cp jms.jar <YOURCLASS.java>

Running:

> java -cp “.:fiorano-framework.jar:fmq-client.jar:jms.jar:jmxri.jar” <YOURCLASS>

NOTE: Make sure you have specified the correct “jndi.properties” file in your code and that you have specified the correct topic.

NOTE: I couldn’t get Fiorano to lookup a topic name I just made up, it gave me a lookup error. I had to use the pre-existing  topic and then it worked
